Girls' Basketball Closes Out Another Great Season

In the regular season we defeated Knowledge Quest Academy 29-25. This helped the girls have a fair amount of confidence going into the game despite one injured A-team player and three A-team players out with an illness. We had a strong first half, leading KQA by one basket, but after one of our players fouled out early in the third quarter, they slowly took the lead. The final score was 28-14.

There were tremendous positives that I saw yesterday at the game and I have outlined them below. If you see any of the players mentioned below or any that participated on the team, please congratulate them on their season.

Madison O. scored the most points she ever had in a single game.

Elin B. sunk her first basket in an A-team game.

Paige H. showed a tremendous (and appropriate) amount of competitiveness and aggression. She made 5 personal fouls and sat after the third quarter. She was graceful and poised as she left the court.

Izzy H. single handedly turned over the ball 4 times, resulting in her best and most aggressive game.

Rowyn F. acted as a magnet towards the ball and aggressively fought for turnover. I lost track after 10 jump balls (5 of which result in Ridgeview's ball)

Isa H. despite being injured cheered, coached, and supported in a mature and admirable way.

One thing I always notice about Ridgeview athletes is they have a tremendous amount of class. Yesterday's game was no different.

I share with you the grade level of these Hoplites so you can look for them next season. They will be hungry for a victory.

Thank you for dismissing these girls' early, thank you for cheering them on, thank you for another season supporting Ridgeview Athletics.

Go Hoplites!

Warm regards,

Miss. Grace, Athletic Director
